Everyone loves coming home to an apartment or home that shouts "This is my home--I love coming here every day!"
To get that feeling, you need some art in your life--more to the point--in your home. Let's start with the living room. There are several good places to place a piece of artwork.
1-The walls--any wall that doesn't have a piece of furniture completely covering it can use artwork. Add art that proportionally fits a wall--not too big--not too small. If you do want small pieces, group 2-4 together to enhance that wall.
2-If you have a lamp table or end table, a small 5x7" framed piece will fit well there. (Of course, make sure the frame is made in the back with a fold-out piece to sit on a table.)
3-If you have a cocktail table, a small 5x7" artwork will look good there.
4-If you have a wall unit, a 5x7" or 8x10" artwork will fit well on one of the shelves.
5-If you have a long table behind your couch, small artworks will work well on those tables.
Make sure you choose artwork you'll enjoy living with for awhile. However, if you ever want a different view, buy some new artwork to replace the ones you already have. Then you can find new or different spots for your older artwork.
